2011

Nordais My T Mathilde MH owned by Kathleen Tennison and trained and handled by Mike Berube completed her Master Hunter in early February. Mattie is out of Bur Oak's Unique Trapper*** and Ch Nordais Fidèle Tornade. Congratulations!!

Our Sako ( Ch Nordais Sako of Caroway WC JH ) completed his show title on June 5th 2011. Along the way, he gathered 5 BOB and one best of winners. He was handled by Jolianne Forget

2010

Spirit of Westwind SH** ( Ch* Nordais Doux Mistral WC WCI WCX SH** X Westwind Mt Kathadin MH*** ) was 2009 top derby Chesapeake. In march 2010, she got a 2nd place which put her on the derby list with 11 points.  She also easily completed her Senior Hunter title.  She is bred by Wendy Shepard Chisholm, owned by Marion Mosher and handled by Mark Mosher.

Nordais Sako of Caroway WC JH ( Ch Rippling Waters Purple Haze MH X Caroway's Blazing Hot Chili MH**) is our new pup we bought from Caroway kennels. He was a lot of fun to run this summer, earning his WC at 7 month and his JH at 8 months.

Nordais Kali of Whiskey Creek WC JH ( Smoking Scout MH X Oak Hill Blue Monday) also completed her WC and JH this summer. She is co-owned by me and Harold Lambert, and was trained and handled by Harold

Our Ch* Nordais Doux Mistral WC WCI WCX SH** ( Ch Clipper's Frozen Assets ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH QFTR ***) completed his WC, WCI and WCX on the same day. A few weeks later, he earned his SH

Not to be outdone, our Nordais Unique Java WC WCI WCX ( Bur Oak's Unique Trapper*** X Ch Nordais Fidèle Tornade) also earned her WC WCI and WCX on the same day. She only needs one pass for her SH

Hard working Émilie Bourassa trained and handled her Nordais Pure Water Lover Naya JH  ( Ch* Nordais Doux Mistral WC WCI WCX SH** X Ch Nordais Fidèle Tornade) to her Junior Hunter title. Congratulation!

2009

Some of Mistral's pups have been doing very well in the U-S:

Spirit of Westwind** ( Ch* Nordais Doux Mistral** X Westwind Mt Kathadin MH*** ) has topped the Chesapeakes in Derby with a 1st, a 2nd and 7 jams for a total of 8 points. She is bred by Wendy Shepard Chisholm, owned by Marion Mosher and handled by Mark Mosher.

Mistral's Donagh of Westwind SH ( Ch* Nordais Doux Mistral ** X Ch Westwind La Lola ) completed his Senior Hunt title and passed one Master leg, all before the age of two. He is owned, trained and handled by Dan McNamara, and is bred by Wendy Shepard Chisholm.

Nordais My T Mathilde JH owned by Kathleen Tennison and trained and handled by Mike Berube completed her Junior Hunter, and started 2010 with a pass in the first Master she was entered! Mattie is out of Bur Oak's Unique Trapper*** and Ch Nordais Fidèle Tornade.

Mattie's littersister, Nordais Unique Java JH, completed her Junior Hunter in Canada. She is trained owned and handled by Mario Beauregard, and was also handled by Émilie Bourassa for her title.

Finally, our new addition, Nordais Kali of Whiskey Creek co-owned by Mario Beauregard and Harold Lambert, was handled by Émilie Bourassa to a Junior Puppy 3rd at the American Chesapeake Field Trial Specialty. She is out of Smoking Scout MH and Oak Hill Blue Monday, bred by Kathy Case

It should be mentioned that Mike Coutu accomplished the rare feat of titling two littersisters in 2009. AFC Deepwater Ripley Believe It or Not and FC AFC Deepwater Colonial Sunfire were bred by Dale and Maggie Langhorne out of their Clipper's Stillwater Molly MH** and Wendy Shepard Chisholm's Dual Ch AFC Westwind's Rudy of Nordais.  Congratulations!

2008

Nordais le feu d'été JH UD ( Ch Quail Run's Rocket Man MH*** X Nordais Dune JH) completed her UD, trained by David and Stephanie Beach. At 11, "Fire" is still athletic and going strong!

Nordais Medway River Sally MH ( AFC Distagon's ATV of Nordais X Nordais Swingdancer Ginger SH**)earned her Canadian Master Hunter title

Her littermate, Rocky Hook's Rebel of Nordais***  became qualified all-age by earning a 2nd place in the Qualifying at the American Chesapeake Specialty

Nell( Ch Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***), completed her show title in March, becoming the newest QAA CH. She is one of the very few Chesapeake Champions with a Qualifying win. She is now  Ch.Nordais Northcreek Nell  WDQ***

Sam ( Ch Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***) won the Europa again for 2008 !!  He is now Fr Ch/DT Ch/ VDH Ch- EUW'07/08 Nordais Sedgegrass Rocket Sam Congratulations to Mathias and Moira Frank.

2008 has been a very good waterfowling season for us, with Mistral retrieving close to 150 ducks, geese and snows.

2007

Two puppies out of the breeding of Distagon's ATV of Nordais and Nordais Swingdancer Ginger SH** did well: Rocky Hook's Rebel of Nordais, owned and trained by Dr. Marston Jones earned a Derby 2nd and a JAM  in the U-S, making him #4 Derby Chesapeake for 2007. He also Jammed 2 Qualifyings. . Nordais Medway River Sally SH, owned and trained by Phillip Williams, completed her canadian Senior Hunter.

Nordais Northcreek Nell*** ( Ch Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***) became Qualified All-Age by winning a big all-breed Qualifying this fall, and she Jammed another one. This makes her #4 Qualifying Chesapeake for 2007. She is a fifth generation Qualified all-age bitch, in direct line with Kate, Plume,  Moka and Douce.

Nordais Double on Ice**    ( Ch. Clipper's Frozen Assets** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***)earned a Qualifying Jam.  and went 3 for 3 in the Master Hunt tests.

 Fr Ch/DT Ch/ VDH Ch Nordais Sedgegrass Rocket Sam ( Ch Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***) won the Europa 2007!! Congratulations to Mathias and Moira Frank

Not a trial, Hunt test or Show competitor, Nordais Ridgerunner Emma  ( Ch. Clipper's Frozen Assets** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH*** ) , is nonetheless an outstanding dog, doing what she was bred for: hunting. Emma ended up with 379 retrieves for the 2007 season . Quoting her owner, Robbie Hendrickson: "We had a great season , Emma was like a little machine never wanting to quit... " Congratulations on a great hunting season, Robbie!
 

2006

AFC Distagon's ATV of Nordais ( Dual Ch AFC Distagon MH X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH***)

completed his Amateur Field Championship on June 11th. He is handled by Bruce Mitchell.

Sadly , he died accidentally a few months later.

Ann-Renée Lemay has trained and handled OTCh Nordais Balzac JH  to his Utility title.

Quite an accomplishment!!

We were very happy that our Ch Nordais Doux Mistral** ( Ch. Clipper's Frozen Assets** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***) completed his show Championship with a Group 4th

Mistral's brother, Nordais Double on Ice** earned a Qualifying Jam.

Nordais Northcreek Nell** ( Ch Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch ** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***) has been very consistent in U-S field trials. She earned a 3rd, a 4th and 5 Jams in Qualifying.

What happened in 2005?

Distagon's ATV of Nordais*** ,"Hummer", won the Amateur at the ACC Specialty in New-Jersey. He also took an all-breed Amateur 2nd.  He is only a few points away from his field titles, and is also proving to be an excellent  producer, his daughters  having won the Puppy and the Derby at the Specialty.

Nordais Distagon's Douce MH***, "Douce", Hummer's littermate, also had a great year. She won two back to back Qualifyings, had an Open CM and completed an Amateur. Although she did not finish at the Specialty, her three pups that were entered, "Whiskey", "Mistral" and "Nell" all completed.

Two of Douce's pups by Freezer did well this year. "Whiskey" (Nordais Double on Ice") got his JH in four straight passes, a Senior pass, two Derby Jams and a Derby 3rd at the ACC Specialty. "Mistral" (Nordais Doux Mistral**) earned a Derby 4th at the ACC Specialty.

Two other Douce pups, this time by "Punch" also did well. "Nell" (Nordais Northcreek Nell**) had a Qualifying RJam at the ACC Specialty and a few all-breed Qualifying Jams. "Sam", who is in Germany, earned 3 Championship titles, one in France and two in Germany. He is now officially known as Fr Ch/DT Ch/ VDH Ch Nordais Sedgegrass Rocket Sam.

Here are some highlights from 2004

Distagon's ATV of Nordais*** ( FC AFC Distagon X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH***ROMQ  ) won  an all breed Open and ran in the american  National Amateur.  He also Jammed the Open and the Amateur at the ACC Specialty.          

Ch Nordais Fidèle Tornade ( Ch*Donnett's Webfoot Navigator MH** X Nordais Chases's Moka Am/Can MH***ROMQ  ) completed her championship in June, handled mainly by Ann-Renée Lemay.

Ch.Nordais Douce Juliette CD ( Ch. Freezer's Quail Run TKO Punch** X Nordais Distagon's Douce MH** ) had a very good summer.  She titled in the show ring and also earned her Companion Dog title, handled most of the time by Ann-Renée Lemay.  Congratulations!!!

Two of Juliette's littermates did good too:

 Southern Intimidator NordaisJH completed his Junior Hunter title handled by owner Paul Neal.

Nordais Northcreek Nell**  owned by Maggie Hoagland took a Derby Jam.

HR Nordais Webfoot Drake ( Ch* Donnett's Webfoot Navigator MH** X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH*** ROMQ  ) completed his Hunting Retriever title from the UKC, handled by owner Sander Wartenberg

Nordais Double Cross** ( FC AFC Distagon X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH*** ROMQ ) Jammed an all-breed qualifying and the Amateur at the ACC Specialty  becoming qualified all-age.

Nordais Double on Ice is a very promising, handsome young male out of the breeding of  Ch. Clipper's Frozen Assets** and  Nordais Distagon's Douce MH**.  At 7 months of age, he took 2nd in  the Junior Puppy and won the Senior Puppy at the ACC field trial Specialty. He is owned by Blair Clark.  Watch  him and his littermates in trials and hunt tests next year!

 2003:

We have ended the year 2003 on a very good note:  two of our foundation bitches, mother and daughter  Plume and Moka, have earned  recognition from the American Chesapeake Club Register of Merit program.  This newly implemented  program rewards the sires and dams who have made significant contribution to the breed through their offspring.  There are three levels, ROM, ROMX and ROMQ.  We are very happy that they both attained the ROMQ level, recognizing their value as outstanding producers.

The pups from  FC AFC Distagon X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Cam MH***ROMQ have been outstanding:

 "Hummer" ( Distagon's ATV of Nordais***) had a great year.  He won two all-breed Qualifyings, got a 4th place in an all-breed Amateur and topped it all by getting a 2nd place in the Amateur at the Chesapeake specialty!  Congratulations Bruce and Billy!

Douce  ( Nordais Distagon's Douce MH**)ran in 2 Qualifyings and got a 4th place.  She also completed her Canadian Master Hunter (MH) title only a few weeks after her 3rd birthday.

 "Rebel" ( Nordais' Rebel of Hot Timber MH) completed his canadian MH title, trained and handled by owner, Chris Stoddart

"Cole" ( Nordais Double Cross**) earned a JAM in the Qualifying .   

 "Femme" ( Nordais Femme Fatale**) earned two CMs in Qualifyings, handled by owner Martin Pinder.

Other Nordais pups have also done well:

Nordais Swingdancer Ginger SH**  ( Can/Am/Int Ch Risky River Manhatan Skyline JH X Nordais Rudy's Stormy Bayou SH**) completed her Senior Hunter title.  She has been entirely trained and handled by owner Yves Sylvain. Congratulations

Two littermates out of the litter of Ch Donnett's Webfoot Navigator MH** and Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Cam MH***ROMQ have also done well.

"Hawk" ( Ch. Wingmaster's Nordais Nighthawk) won best puppy at the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club of Canada specialty.  He went on to complete his championship at only 11 months! He is now in training, watch for him next year.

"Drake" ( Nordais Webfoot Drake SHR) completed his Started Hunting Retriever title from the UKC.

 2002:

Ann-Renée and Balzac did it again!!  They completed the CDX on June 23rd with scores of 193 ( 1st place), 189 and 185 ( 2nd places).  He is now Nordais Balzac CDX.  In addition, he completed his JH in August.  Congratulations!

 Douce got 2 CMs and a 3rd place in 5 starts at the Junior level in field trials. 

Nordais Swingdancer Ginger**  ( Can/Am/ Int Ch. Risky River Manhattan Skyline JH X Nordais Rudy's Stormy Bayou WCI SH** ) got a Junior CM in the first Field trial she was entered in.  She also completed her JH  She is trained and handled by her owner, Yves Sylvain.

Douce's two littermates, nicknamed "The Bean brothers" had a very good trial season too in the U-S.  They both placed in the Derby and in the Qualifying stakes before the age of two.

Nordais Rainbow Ringmaster CD  ( Ch Sandy Oak's Rainbow Rider JH UD X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH***) finished his CD in October, trained and handled by owner Bonnie Loupret.  Congratulations!

Rockriver's Gunny of NordaisJH ( FC AFC Distagon X Nordais Chase's Moka Am/Can MH ***) completed her JH this summer.  She is trained, owned and handled by Sandy Dollar, and is a littermate to Douce, Cole, Hummer and Rebel.

Ch Nordais Marsh Woods CD ( Ch Bayside Chesany's Lakota NA NAJ X Nordais Rudy's Stormy Bayou SH**) became a Champion in early December. He is owned by Kevin and Rosemary Seymour.  He is also a hunting dog and has completed his CD obedience title.  Congratulations!!

 2001

Moka completed her canadian Master Hunter title on July 28th, she is now Nordais Chase's Moka WCX CGC Can/Am MH***.  She  becomes one of the few Chesapeakes with both the canadian and american Master Hunter titles, and the first canadian bred to do so. At the same trial, her son Nordais Rebel of Hot Timber JH, "Rebel", ( By FC AFC Distagon ), owned and handled by Chris Stoddart,  completed his Junior Hunter title at 9 months of age.

Moka's littermate, Rudy, owned by Wendy Shepard Chisholm, became the breed's 14th Dual Ch AFC in the U-S by winning an Open on August 19th, handled by Mitch Patterson. There are only 2 Dual Ch AFCs in all retriever breeds, and they are Chesapeakes: Dual Ch AFC Westwind's Rudy of Nordais and Dual Ch AFC Gambler's Dilwyn-Stacked Deck MH.

At the 2001 American Chesapeake Club Field Trial Specialty, three littermates out of the FC AFC Distagon X Moka breeding ran in the Senior puppy stake, and they all placed. Distagon's ATV of Nordais, "Hummer", owned by Bruce Mitchell took 2nd, Nordais Distagon's Douce, "Douce", owned by Mario Beauregard and Nordais Double Cross, "Cole", owned by Eric Nikolaus took JAMs. Watch for these promising littermates, Cole, Douce and Hummer, and also "Rebel" and "Femme" next year in the Derby and Junior stakes.

Nordais Balzac CD ( Ch. Risky River Manhattan Skyline JH X Nordais Rudy's Stormy Bayou SH**) completed his  canadian companion dog title on October 25th.  He is owned, trained and handled by Ann-Renée Lemay. Congratulations for this team work and good luck for the CDX!
